The term “Big Brother” is the name of an entity from George Orwell’s novel “1984”.
In it, a large organised agency called Big Brother watched and intervened in the lives of all of the citizens of the country.
With existing elements in the modern world it is easy for us to imagine
that in the future one single big corporation or entity could have all the data of all citizens and through its control of this information control the populace.
This project is born of the idea that this should be prevented.
1984 led me to ask what an individual is?
What is our identity? Do our Passport, Drivers license, ID cards represent us?Defining identity is difficult even around these questions, how then can we control it and the information about ourselves that others use to define our identity?
Currently we get defined by authorities based on our race, geographical location and numbers.
We are objectified by ID numbers given by the authorities with no control over it.
With the constructs of identity that are present today, a solution needs to be compatible
with the existing frameworks of our time to be able to protect us from the potential pitfalls of the future.
A centralised distribution point of your identity
that allows you to disclose certain parts of your identity to the people and entities that you come into contact with.That keeps a record of that interaction and allows you to understand what you have shared and how that connects you to people.

For Eyedentity there is a designed wearables which will integrate with a mobile phone app.
The wearable is the sharing point and main display for our identity.
It is connected to our platform to define it's sharing parameters.
The mobile phone app supports the wearable which forms the main function.
IRIS SCAN
Eyedentity will use our Iris scan / Voice scan / Heart beat scan to visualise our unique identity. The main emblem of our identity is based on the user's Iris scan.
Eyes are the window to your soul and your identity. ... DNA determines the colour and structure of the iris, but its random pits, furrows, swirls, and rifts occur during fetal development, which makes every iris unique.
VOICE SCAN
By using the voice scan while the user is using the mobile, our app will be analysing the sound frequency, speech rate and the voice intensity to adjust the Eyedentity emblem’s hue/saturation/lightness to visualise how you feel.
HEART BEAT

By using the heart beat scan while the user is using the wearable, our app will be visualising the heart beat to show your emothional stage and also your heart health statues.

Eyedentity operates as a holistic identification and identity management platform that serves to also express a person's identity in a meaningful way to people meaningful to the identity owner.
Eyedentity also helps to answer the question of "who am I to other people?"
WEARABLE DEVICE WITH MANY FORMS.
The wearable device has been carefully designed to display and carry the user's identity. The device is a small disk like structure that is independent of any straps. This was chosen as an ideal structure due to its portability quotient and the idea is to be able to wear/carry it in varying fashion. This disk can be snapped on to a watch strap, or a pendant loop or a link.
USING NFC TECHNOLOGY TO PAIR THE WEARABLE WITH EYEDENTITY APP.
The wearable device uses Near-Field-Communication technology. This chip is installed within the device and is used for pairing the device with the application and also sharing information through a bump feature. NFC offers a low-speed connection with simple setup that can be used to bootstrap more-capable wireless connections.
SHARING YOUR DATA.
As part of the interaction and method of using the wearable initiating an identity sharing
will be carried out by users touching their devices together to pass information.
A physical action leading to a digital handshake and sharing.
This act connects the two users and when they review their representation in Eyedentity
they will be able to understand their connectedness in its totality.
TOTALITY MODE.
To give a totality experience to the viewer. This feature mainly aims at making humans conscious and aware about the fact that we are all part of something bigger together.
SECURITY MODE TO CONTROL YOUR EYEDENTITY.
The locking feature might seem like a trivial one but we consider it quite important, because when dealing with such intimate things such as identity the user needs to be able to lock the device at any moment they want, whether it be in case of a loss or the device being stolen.
